Guide: Blink is an episode from series 3 of Doctor Who, which features David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor, and Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones. In this episode however, the Epis and Martha have very little screen time. This episode is based around Sally Sparrow. Sally Sparrow is a photographer, who enters an old abandoned house to take pictures. Inside, though, the Weeping Angels are waiting. This old abandoned house was called "Wester Drumlins" and she entered there to find her name on the wall. Written by the Doctor, this message also told her to duck, saving her life.
She returns the next day with her friend, Kathy Nightingale. A man soon arrives at the door with a decade old letter from his grandmother, saying he had promised to deliver it to Sally on this date at exactly this time. StrAngely enough the man's grandmother was called Kathy Nightingale. Thinking this was a prank, she searches for Kathy, who had just disappeared. Sally then encounters three Weeping Angels, one holding a key. She takes the key and leaves the house, unaware that the statues had moved.
Sally reads the letter, wherein Kathy explains that the Weeping Angels transported her to 1920.The letter asks Sally to explain her absence to her last close relative, her brother Larry, who runs a dvd store. Larry has also discovered a message from the Doctor, which features him carrying on a random conversation, as an easter egg hidden on 17 dvds. Sally goes to the police, hoping that they would help her. Instead a policeman called Billy Shipton shows her a car park full of abandonded vehicles, and a fake police box with a lock that cannot be opened. After a quick search around the car park, she leaves.
Outside, Sally realises that the key could be used to open the police box while inside, Billy is sent back in time by the Weeping Angels to 1969. The Doctor finds him and explains all about the Weeping Angels. After Billy asks the Doctor how he knows all this, he asks Billy to deliver a message to Sally, but apologises that it's going to take a while. In 2007, Billyy calls Sally minutes after he disappeared. He is now an old man, and he was responsible for putting the easter eggs in the dvd's. He tells her to look at the dvd's. He dies shortly after.
After looking at them, the Doctor explained that the Weeping Angels are quantum locked, they cant move if you are looking at them. To stop the Weeping Angels from attacking Sally and Larry, they must not blink. While trying to escape from an Angel in the room they are watching the DVD in, Larry and Sally discover the TARDIS in the cellar. Larry and Sally manage to get into the TARDIS and shut the doors, just as the Angels manage to surround it. The DVD that Larry and Sally brought with them activates a protocol in the TARDIS, causing it to return to the Doctor. Sally and Larry are left behind, leaving the Angels trapped forever in a circle, tricked into observing each other.
