Well, first hurdle jumped.
Resigned yesterday.
I'm now VERY unpopular.
Have asked me to work full months notice and they will pay me owed holidays (10 days).

So, I finish end of September and then start a new chapter ...

I'm guessing they didn't want you to leave then and are making you work a full month so they can try and sort a replacement.

Yes. They are "Very disappointed".
I sympathised, but said it was a considered decision that wasn't changing.
They have now advertised the position so I'm hoping they get someone else in and might then consider letting me feck off!

Well, I officially finish this Friday.
I drive down to Birmingham to do the 'Area Handover' and then I'm done.
They drop me off at the train station and I make my way home. As they are paying I booked 1st Class so will be going out in style!


They I'm gainfully unemployed for a while.
