Hmm. Short week this week ruins my training plans. Throw into the mix that I needed to have my car at work this morning to be collected for it's service AND its set to freeze (-2 and below) overnight tonight. Not ideal.

So - I formed a plan at weekend. Won't get my usual 100+ miles in, but it will be better than nowt.  Wink

Did 30 miles on Monday. Nice pleasant spin around. It was cold and slippy (bit of black ice) but a good ride.

Tuesday - No riding. Into work in the car to take my work office books/files and clothes in.

Wednesday. Couldn't commute as car needs to be in work - so got up at 'normal commute time' but left house early (4am) and did a 20 mile Marple/ Hayfield Loop then showered and drove to work for 6am. Was a very wet ride but warm enough.

Thursday. Probably skip tomorrow (commuting) if it's as cold as they forecast. Allegedley dropping to -1 by this evening then -2 or -3 overnight ALL night. Ice ice baby.

Friday. Get out Friday morning when temps are up and do 20-30 miles. Normally a rest day, but needs must if I don't ride Thurs.

Saturday is an early kick off at old Trafford (leaving at 10.30am) then out for a birthday meal and drinks in Manchester so Sunday may well be a non starter for training.  Tongue

Ha ha.  Big Grin

Did get up this morning as normal at 3.20am. Checked temps (-3 to -6 since 10pm last night), looked at cars all frozen and stuck with plan A. Went back to bed and will go out tomorrow instead. Good choice as car wheels were nearly spinning (gadgets, all season tyres and over two tonnes of car stopped them letting go) on some treated roads as I drove in.

Pulled the weekly mileage back like a Prince! Smile

102 miles for the week with a ride Friday and a quick cheeky early morning spin on Saturday before leaving for the footie at 10.30am.
