Surely it's just unplug one router, plug in new router, bam, done? Or do you need to find a time when everyone isn't using the current router to make the switch? Tongue

... Then go around the house adding the new wifi/password to 3 firesticks, 3 ipads, 4 laptops, 5 mobile phones, Amazon Echo, Amazon Dot ....... It takes bloody ages!  Rolleyes
Thankfully some of the AV kit is hardwired via an ethernet switch, but it's still a ballache of a job that I NEVER look forward to.

On the plus side - assuming it lasts - we've seen immediate/visible speed increases in anything connected to wifi via the Hub 6. Seems to provide a much stronger signal as 'dodgy' area of the house (upstairs - furthest point from the router) is now working perfectly.

It's a good excuse to kick all the illegal devices from the router though, it's good for security management of the network :-P plus, what else would you do with your weekend? Tongue

Sounds good though if you now have full coverage into the dodgy areas as well Smile

How very dare you. I have Amazon Prime for all my streaming needs I'll have you know.  Tongue

...and yes, if the wifi cover remains strong I'll be happy. BT do say that's one of the big improvements with the box, but what they say and what they do are rarely the same. Maybe this time they are for once.

Well, so far so good. The kids are impressed with the wifi on the new BT Hub 6 - which saves me a LOAD of ear ache. The printer is also playing all the time now, whereas in the past it would drop off the wifi at the most inopportune moments.

Otherwise it's business as usual. Speedtests show +/- 60 meg download speeds and despite having multiple gadgets streaming music/ youtube/ online gaming/ films - we have no buffering.

A mate who calls in every week has asked me for all the details as he needs a really stable broadband and is currently on TalkTalk fibre which he says is very poor. He streams, has multiple devices and needs stability/ speed for some internet work required for his business. Told him to swerve BT Business as I used them for a few years and whilst it's UK support - that isn't worth the business premium (more expensive and then + VAT). He is looking to get the same set up as me (Infinity 2 with Hub 6) after picking my brains (didn't take long!  Tongue).
