TV Series Worth Watching.
#21
Walking dead series 5 has started, 1st episode seems better than last series. Lets hope it doesn't get as dreary as it did in series 4.

Decent film to watch A walk among the tombstones.

Liam Neeson plays an ex alcoholic cop who is now a private investigator in search of 2 psycho ex drug enforcement cops turned devient killers, dont want to give too much away little bit dark in parts not one to watch with the kids.

I've got Walking Dead in my Showbox Library. It automatically adds new episodes as they become available. Will watch that tonight if I can drag myself away from The Blacklist. (I've only got two episodes left to finish S1). :-)

Have stuck 'Walk among the tombestones' in there aswell for when I get chance. Ta.

Some good choices there, Breaking Bad is brilliant the first couple of series are really about setting the story and characters it really starts getting interesting from then on so stick with it.

Blacklist series 1 done and upto date with Series 2. Some late nights over weekend! Wink Still enjoying it so was def a great shout.

Need another one to go at when I get the chance. I prefer older ones I've missed first time around as that means I have a few series to go at if I find I like them. Once which was recommended is Southland ...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1299368/

Quote:Southland takes a raw look at Los Angeles as it is in the 2000s and as well at the lives of the officers of the Los Angeles Police Department who are trying to contain it.

That ^^ is a bland and tbh very poor description. I'd have left it well alone reading that had I not been told it was good. The fact it has got an 8.4 rating tells you it won't be a bad series. Smile

I've watched the first few episodes of series 1. It reminds me of The Shield, the way it is filmed and the way it hones in on individual officers, whilst keeping seperate storylines moving then bringing them together. Lots of very good actors I recognise in different roles.
Every episode is a day out of an officers week. You start with a point in the day and then it drops back by Eg. 12 hours and you see how we get there. It works well - and because the plots and subplots carry on throughout the episodes, it flows very well.

So far it looks a good series, which bodes very well as often you need to watch series 1 to get into the characters and storylines, whereas this one hits the ground running.
