Good news...bad news then FG. Sorry about the off but good to read you're OK. Reads like it was one of those 'how the feck did that happen' offs. I had a similar one at Pembrey .....lap timer gadget showed only a -2 mph difference at the 'off' point than all my other laps and still got no idea why it lowsided.......(apart from the numpty holding the throttle of course.... 
). I like your thinking about the right clothing. I always reckoned it was a case of the 'possible accident' doesn't know if you're out for a ride to the shops or off round the world........the upshot is somewhere, sometime shit will happen so dress for safety.
