Car has had a bit of brap brap blinging ... - Kingy - 07-25-2020 When I bought my Gold at the end of last year I had the dealer put on a ceramic coating. Its guaranteed for the life of my car ownership. The idea is it protects the car surface and means you never need polish it again. Problem is the fuckwit dealer sins prep the surface properly and sealed in some marks ... which have slowly driven me mad. I decided to get this sorted out and booked the car in with CRP Detailers in Buxton. They had it for the week as it needed three full days of work. The works carried out was: Full decontamination. De Tar. Fallout removed. Clay Bar. 2 stage machine polish to cut back the coating then correct the defects underneath and enhance the gloss levels. Wipe down. Seal with fresh ceramic coating - Feynlab Ceramic Plus with 5 year warranty. Wheels were also removed and sealed with Feynlab wheel and calliper and infrared cured. This is what it looks like after. Unless things take a dramatic change I'm looking at this as a (very) longterm keeper though. Sorry mate. I 'hid them' after a twat on a vw forum chatted utter shite on a thread I put up. Rather than flame him and drop to his level I decided to log out and not bother. Forums are desperate for new members who post and fucking idiots that sit there trolling (with admin doing nothing) will ensure death of a forum very quickly in this day and age.
