Trip down memory lane! - speedymadR6 - 10-01-2014 Morning all and nice to see the monkey site still going in a new site Haven't ridden a motorbike since the end of the endurance season in 2008 and not really missed it if I am totally honest. Been the odd day where I thought I would love to go out but not enough to go an buy one. turned to the dark side of cycling as a fair few monkeys have and this year decided to give some racing ago which I am really enjoying. Not doing too badly with a couple of top tens and looking to carry on for another season next year. Hope to see some of you soon as Kingy is organising a Peaks Ride out very soon (get your arse in gear!) RE: Trip down memory lane! - Kingy - 10-01-2014 Whahey! Nice to see you on here mate. I'll keep trying to get you on the fells. Just a short route - it will be good for your training! Would be great to see a few pics of your (push) bikes/racing if you get a few minutes - and maybe even a copy and past of the Fred report you did as I don't think people will believe just what you achieved there. Bloody immense I'll get some dates sorted for the Peaks ride. I was waiting for Yasmins schedule for October to see what weekends were free, but having seen it last night she is away for every one of them! I'll see when my mum and dad can have the kids for a Saturday (Oct) or plenty of options November as Yaz is off for Nov/4 weeks. Ocotber is supposed to be mild this year so I'd prefer to take advantage of that if I/we can sort it. May ask all those going if they can register here and have a thread on it. It's much easier to sort with a conventional thread as we used to for Monkeyfests (plus Troy doesn't do Facebook). It gets disjointed on Facebook and I reckon there will probably end up being maybe 6 or 8 at most that def turn up. RE: Trip down memory lane! - speedymadR6 - 10-01-2014 Sounds good to me Kingy, will stick a few pics and put the Fred report up under the relevant bit of the site Kingy :-) Will make sure I keep checking back in ;-) RE: Trip down memory lane! - Kingy - 10-02-2014 Brilliant. I'm off to read about Fred again. *Saw Bill Robinson last night. He said to say hello and pass on his best to you and Cat. He mentioned the Fred and said he started training for it and then thought ... Sod that! I told him you did it and he was impressed. Mentioned the Peaks ride to him and said David (his son) will be going so watch this space. He is impressively fit for an old bugger. RE: Trip down memory lane! - Anth - 10-02-2014 Eh up Dave ?
