Well here in darkest Wiltshire....not far from the metrolopis of Bath this morning was overcast and wet.  So off we set to visit son and partner (nice lady she is too) for a pre Christmas visit and a nice pub lunch.  4 miles from home it's covered in a thick blanket of white fluffy stuff.....cold and wet, loads of it gone brown on the road but still laying there quite thick and a bit slippy slidy.  About 10ish miles from home it's getting worse but still driveable..............then good old radio 2 buts in and lovely Sally traffic announces, amongst other places affected the A417 is closed due to snow.  Ah so that's what this stuff is.......so A417 closed means big problems because, apart from a 40+ mile detour on the motorway, which also has slow traffic/accidents to contend, with we can't get there.  So it's back home after taking about 1 1/2 hours to cover about 20 miles and bugger me with a soggy fish....it's bloody snowing here.

Arrrrrrrgh.........Merry Christmas folks........ [Image: cute_santa_hat_monkey_merry_christmas_ca...vr_324.jpg]
Ah Roger sounds like a right bugger, and a waste of time, we have had no snow up here in lincolnshire
I blame you for being a silly sod and going out in it hahaha.

I on the other hand am much more sensible and didn't move the car anywhere in the snow and ice we had, but me and Yogi did get out on the mtb's at 7.30am. It was -3 with snow on ice so was quite tricky going in places. Still despite not being able to feel my fingers we managed 26 miles.

Who's the silly sod now then Rodger ? ay ay !!! yeah ME ha ha

Hey there dude....good to see you around again.  All well I trust.

As for snow over there in 'flatland'.....shouldn't be a problem 'cause you lot haven't got any hills to worry about.... Tongue
We've had nowt in Melksham Roger, just a lot of wet water (as opposed to dry water which I believe they've had in Trowbridge). There was snow in the fields though going towards Chippenham on Monday when en-route to London but nothing in Chippenham. Plenty of fools on the road that can't handle the white stuff though!
twas a little cool on the push iron.

Hit snow button in the disco only to find all the roads clear as a bell.
Damn !

Wish I had a snow button on the push iron lol
I've been storm dodging in Scotland, snow dodging in Birmingham and then snowed in (whilst having my first day working from home) in Glossop. Smile

All good fun.
