Guide: The Doctor receives word that a friend of his has died, and so travels off to the planet Necros with Peri. Necros is the home of a facility that holds wealthy people who are cryogenically frozen until medical science finds a cure for what caused their deaths.

But the Doctor gets more than he bargained for when he finds a tombstone, inscribed with his face and details. He thinks that he had plenty of regenerations left, but the evidence does not seem to show it.

Davros is back, in the complex, building his Dalek army to take on Skaro, but his plans are stopped by the Doctor.

At the end of the episode, the Doctor learns that the tombstone he saw was mearly a trap set up by Davros and the Daleks of Skaro come to arrest Davros, even through he is their creator. He tries to bargain with them, saying that The Doctor should be taken, but the current form of the Doctor does not fit with the Dalek memory banks and so the Doctor escapes.
